Memories of a Window

Bright music,

Swirling dancers,

Clinking glasses,

Secret whispers,

Trickling laughter.

Warm fires,

Exotic fancies,

Elegant gowns,

Flickering candles,

Stolen glances.

Forbidden dalliances,

Hidden love notes,

Passionate kisses,

Skipping hearts,

Rosey cheeks.

Family dinners,

Proud parents,

Children playing,

Games played,

This is life.

The words reflect perfectly vivid pictures seen through the window. They trigger ones imagination and awakens emotions.

Very clever how you've brought the short lines together to create this poem!
